Athens is the historical capital of Europe, with a long history, dating from the first settlement in the Neolithic age. In the 5th Century BC (the “Golden Age of Pericles”) – the culmination of Athens’ long, fascinating history – the city’s values and civilization acquired a universal significance. Over the years, a multitude of conquerors occupied Athens, and erected unique, splendid monuments – a rare historical palimpsest. In 1834, it became the capital of the modern Greek state and in two centuries since it has become an attractive modern metropolis with unrivalled charm.
Day 2: Athens-Mykonos

Put the best of science, art and philosophy together in one creation and you have the definitive monument of human civilisation. UNESCO calls it the symbol of World Heritage. The world calls it the Athenian Acropolis!
The Acropolis, and the Parthenon in particular, is the most characteristic monument of the ancient Greek civilisation. It continues to stand as a symbol in many ways: it is the symbol of democracy and the Greek civilisation. It also symbolises the beginning of the Western civilisation and stands as the icon of European culture. The Parthenon was dedicated to Athena Parthenos, the patron goddess of the city of Athens and goddess of wisdom. It was built under the instructions of Pericles, the political leader of Athens in the 5th century BC.Afternoon transfer to the port to embark ferry to Mykonos. Upon arrival transfer to hotel.

According to mythology, Mykonos was formed from the petrified bodies of giants killed by Hercules. And did you know that the island took its name from the grandson of Apollo, “Mykonos”? Set out on a journey to discover a fascinating world where glamour meets simplicity.
In the evening, enjoy Myconian Countryside tour with Hora & Little Venice
The excursion with the coach and your tour guide sets off from Chora, the capital of Mykonos. You head towards the secluded locations of the island with an exceptionally privileged view, that pleases the eye and eases the soul.
From St.John’s beach you will be offered an exceptional view of the island of Delos opposite.

Returning to Chora you will stop at Paraportiani, one of the most photographed sights of Greece, a church of very special architecture, which was carved not only by human hands but also by time. The final result is a worn building, yet bearing its own unique aesthetics.
A few metres down you will meet the Mykonos Folklore Museum, which is housed in an old two-storied merchant baron’s house.
You continue towards Alefkandra, the “Little Venice” of Mykonos, with its windmills and the almost otherworldly sunsets.
